Isobel Sally 22nd July 2020

I just read this news in the Principia Purpose. Discovering this page, I will have to say I had a few wonderful connections with Marjorie. We both lived off campus at the Colin Campbell residence, I believe. That may be how we both became interested in the Italy abroad. We shared so many experiences on the Italy abroad. Art history, culture, touring all the great ancient cities. An interesting thing is that we connected again when I was living in NYC. I became engaged to a man who was living overseas with a full bright. We decided to marry in Italy and live off of the stipend from Fullbright in Berlin. I hadn't learned German yet, so the Italian Alps was a welcome destination. To marry in Italy, the Italian government required so many documents all translated into Italian,. Guess who did the translation? Marjorie. She was a wonderful friend to help with that. I think we paid hr some amount, but still, it was a task. She was a really special person and someone I always gained insights from when we would have discussions about numerous questions in life. She did carry a light about her. I'm sure she is missed. Sending love to her family! "Sally" =- Isobel Sally Davis
