Marjorie was my first point of contact when I applied to work at the Christian Science Monitor. She went above and beyond to help me land there. From our first meeting, I felt her joy, sincerity, and utter goodness. I will be forever grateful for the privilege of being her colleague, and friend. I cherish the opportunities we had to discuss our shared love of deep spiritual ideas, and also for the cheer, generosity, precision, gentleness, thoughtfulness, humility, good humor, and incredible baked goods she brought to the newsroom. Being with Marjorie and John at the same time, and seeing the way they so selflessly love one another was truly special. I’ll miss weekend hangs with Marjorie and JK in Newton, and visiting at the house in JP. She was always so supportive of John and I making a racket on our instruments in the basement. While we may have to grapple with her passing, I have no doubt she will continue to bless us with her gracious example, and others as she continues on her journey. Thank you, Marjorie, for everything. Much love, dear friend. Josh Kenworthy
