Thanks for sharing Marjorie with all of us, John. My time with her spanned my entire journalism life — from her voice on the phone asking me to come to the Monitor as an intern to her kindness and curiosity sitting across the aisle from me just a short time ago. I will always remember how eagerly and honestly she cared for all of us. From inviting interns to your house so many years ago for food and a concert to how much love she poured out for those around her (adults, grandkids, animals!) and the dedication and generous spirit she brought to her colleagues and cause at the Monitor, I learned so much from just watching her be unerringly decent and loving. I hope that’s a lesson I can carry for all of my days.
