Marjorie will always have a special place in my heart. We first got to know each other in college on our Principia Abroad in Italy. Marjorie liked going out with Roger (my husband) and me on our shared quest for the best Italian meals! We found we were kindred companions in exploring "the real" Rome and our interest in discovering the nuances of Italian culture. Marjorie and I also shared a house-sit in Elsah one summer while Roger was away at field camp. We had lots of fun together and also lots of good thoughtful support for each other. I have loved catching up with her over the years as our paths would cross from time to time--hearing about her many adventures in life (and maybe even a few misadventures!) always told in vivid terms and laced with her amazing sense of humor. And, I have especially appreciated seeing her posts on facebook over the past few years. Even though I have not yet met John, it has been so wonderful to see the joy she expressed in that relationship. Hugs to John, her family, friends and colleagues.
