Dan 12th January 2019

I met Marjorie while playing in a band with John. Our appearance in their kitchen on the way to a few hours of pounding and squalling in the basement rehearsal space was probably the worst part of her day, but the time chatting with her often became the best part of mine. She was... radiant. She glowed with intelligence, humor, perceptiveness, and loving kindness. I loved hearing her talk about books, all things Italian, and her pride in the many young journalists she mentored. And I loved seeing the closeness of her and John’s relationship. As they say in my faith, “ May her memory be a blessing.”
