Marjorie was the funniest person I ever met. We met when both of us were in our 20s, sharing an unforgettable year as roommates (along with my two sisters) in California, working terrible jobs, perpetually broke, but laughing ourselves to tears just about every day. The four of us shared a one-bedroom apartment. Somehow I ended up sleeping on a slab of foam in the closet. Marjorie got the sofa. Older sister and younger sister somehow scored the bedroom. It was a fantastic year. I'm so glad our paths crossed so many times, with both of us ending up in Boston for the last decade or so. I think of Marjorie and I see her beautiful smile, remember her passionate love of theater and books, her love for John and their family, her excitement at being a grandmother. She was truly a unique, funny, kind, loving, adventurous friend. I'll never forget her. Lisa
